The Progressive Strawberry...

So you may ask, "What the heck does that title even mean?!"  And I will answer that question for you in just a minute, but first I would like to talk a little about my best friends.  They are these amazing girls that I met in college, we shared life, love, and living quarters for over two years...and then college ended...and my heart broke as we scattered in different directions to pursueour goals.
But throughout the two years since I graduated, we have done a good job of keeping in touch and celebrating events and non-family-oriented holidays together.  One of my favorite people ever, Kristen, struck up a deal with me that after college we would make every effort we could to not go longer than 6 weeks without seeing eachother...and so far this has been successful!  We switch back and forth as to who travels to visit and who is the host, so this past visit it was my turn to journey to Cincinnati, OH to visit.  But something soo amazing happened this weekend, three of our other besties were also able to make it for a random weekend of hanging out-thus we decided this needed to be deemed a holiday.
As we searched for a holiday name we threw around words that had been used a lot that weekend, and that's when we realized we used the word progressive often i.e. "We're so progressive going to a baseball game by ourselves, without a guy."-Kristen.  So, progressive stuck...and also at that point we happened to be eating strawberries, but no one would eat the HUGE one, concerned that it would just seem greedy...instead we each took a little bite of it...o.m.g. sweetest strawberry I've ever had!  So, somehow in all of this holiday naming and strawberry eating...we decided that our weekend of randomness (that also involved several of us being very irresponsible, seeing how we were doing things such as starting our first days of work and grad school and taking GREs on Monday) should be named the Progressive Strawberry!  Thus a holiday is born...I'm pretty sure that's how they decided on things back in the day ;)

Here are several pics of our weekend of eating, baseball, giant jenga, sailing, art galleries, a visit to the conservatory, a neighborhood cookout, and lots and lots of love.

Can't wait til next time!

xoxo,

Savvy
